'Red Bicycle Touring Company' is operated by Fit-Kit Pty Ltd
1. How to book: Please read the following booking conditions and complete and submit the booking form attached. A deposit of 50% per traveller is required at the time of booking.
The final tour payment is due and payable 3 months prior to departure. Tour costs are quoted on a twin share basis and include land content only.
2. Cancellation by the Traveller: If cancellation is made within 3 calender months of departure then a cancellation fee of 50% of the tour price will be charged. Should you fail to join the tour, join it after departure or leave prior to its completion then no refund in whole or part thereof of payments made or associated costs will be forthcoming.
3. Cancellation by Fit-Kit Pty Ltd: Fit-Kit Pty Ltd reserves the right to cancel any trip at any time and for any reason. In such a case, any payments received by Fit-Kit Pty Ltd shall constitute full settlement. Fit-Kit Pty Ltd is not responsible for any non-refundable payments of any nature made by the Traveller in such a case.
4. Baggage: Please be aware that airlines often charge an additional fee for bulky items such as bicycles as well as for exceeding baggage allowances. All such charges are the personal responsibility of the traveller. Please make yourself aware of any such baggage conditions prior to travelling.
5. Passports and Visas: Please ensure you have a valid passport and visa for all countries visited during your tour. All charges and costs relating to visas and passports are the personal responsibility of the traveller.
6. Health: Please consult your doctor for advice on health related issues prior to travelling. All medical charges and related costs for items such as vaccinations and anti-malaria treatment are the personal responsibility of the traveller. Please ensure that all applicants have completed and fully understand the Physical Activity Readiness questionnaire attached.
7. Photography: Fit-Kit Pty Ltd reserves the right without further notice to make use of any photograph or film taken on tour by our photographer without payment or permission. We guarantee that no photographs of a compromising or embarrassing nature will be used. Please be considerate when photographing other people and respect their wishes if they do not wish to be photographed.
8. Changes to the Scheduled Tour: While we make every effort to ensure that the tour is completed as per the itinerary, we reserve the right to make changes to any aspect of the tour if conditions demand. It is our goal to ensure that you, as our guest, have the best possible tour experience, and changes will only ever be made for the safety of travellers or where events or situations arise that are beyond our control. No refunds, reimbursements of associated costs or compensation will be due to the traveller if changes to any aspect of the itinerary are made.
9. Insurance: It is a condition of booking that travellers' purchase comprehensive travel and medical insurance adequate for their destination and activity. All charges and costs relating to travel and medical insurance are the personal responsibility of the traveller. All costs associated with a medical emergency requiring medical attention and/or evacuation are the sole responsibility of the individual traveller.
10. Inherent Dangers and Risks: Cycle touring is inherently dangerous. Travellers are cycling on public roads, trails and tracks used by a variety of users and utilised in a variety of ways. Cyclists can expect to encounter other vehicles such as trucks, buses, cars, motorbikes and cyclists, objects such as livestock, pets and produce, and workers such as farmers, street stall holders and labourers. Please note that this list of users and means of utilising the roads, trails and tracks is not exhaustive. These users and local use of the roads, trails and tracks may act and present in a manner that differs from your experience and expectations within your home country. Furthermore, the condition of roads, trails and tracks can vary and may be in a state of disrepair.
The indigenous users of these roads, trails and tracks will often not understand the spoken English language, and the enforced or customary road rules often differ from that in force in your country of residence. Due to these and other considerations there is the possibility of injury and even death resulting from collisions and interactions while cycle touring on roads, trails and tracks during you cycle tour.
travellers may also be exposed to extreme environmental conditions such as high temperatures, humidity, seasonal rainfall, high winds and high UV radiation. For these reasons we insist that travellers obey all directions from their cycle and tour guides, take all precautions that are warranted and wear all safety equipment as deemed necessary.
Travel is often through remote third world countries. Professional medical care is often distant and below the standard available in a country such as Australia. Whilst every effort is made to avoid food and water borne risks there may be occasions when the standard of hygiene experienced on tour is below that considered normal in a country such as Australia.
Safety equipment such as a helmet, reflective vest (supplied), gloves, sturdy suitable footwear, sunscreen and sunglasses must be worn at all times when cycling.
travellers participating in this tour assume all such dangers and risks at their own discretion.
11. Conduct and Behaviour: Fit-Kit Pty Ltd and/or its employees and agents reserves the right to immediately terminate a travellers tour participation if in their opinion a traveller has engaged in illegal activity and/or is likely to act in a manner that will adversely impact on the health, safety and/or enjoyment of fellow tour members. No refund or partial refund of the tour cost, compensation or refund of associated costs will be made in these circumstances.
12. Limitations of Liability and release: Fit Kit Pty Ltd and/or its directors are not liable for any bodily injury and/or property damage or theft as a result of participation in these tours.
Fit-kit Pty Ltd utilises the services of external entities, persons and third parties in the organising and carrying out of your tour. Fit-Kit Pty Ltd and its directors do not control, own or operate any such external entity, persons or third parties that provides or are to provide goods and services for your trip. Fit-kit Pty Ltd and/or its directors are not liable for any negligent or wilful act, or failure to act, of any such entity, persons or third party.
